The birds are singing, the sun is shining and the flowers are blooming. Spring is a wonderful season, the warmer weather cheers us up and we get excited for summer. But a season change also means a change in humidity, different allergens and temperature changes. These factors can all wreak havoc on our hair and skin.
So we’ll be continuing our seasonal series of hair blogs (check out summer and winter too!), with another guide on how to best prepare your hair to take on the new season with a spring in your step.
Hair care is nothing without quality tools. Hair brushes, curlers, straighteners, blow dryers and even hair ties or clips can cause damage to your hair. During your spring cleaning make sure you give you hair tools a refresh and make sure they are good quality.
We also recommend getting a few good hair towels to help keep your hair healthy and reduce frizz. Our microfibre shower caps, and hair turbans are the perfect options!
With Spring comes heat and humidity, which can cause hair to frizz like crazy! Not to mention the wind which will ruin any good hair day.
With your newly purchased quality hair ties and clips, rock an up-do when you are out and about during the day. This will keep your hair looking neat and help reduce frizz.
Dry hair will lead to damage, split ends and frizz, and the change in temperature can make hair dry out quicker. Make sure you use a leave-in conditioner or hair mask at least once a week to help keep your hair moisturised. Not sure which product to get? Adore Beauty has you covered.
Better yet, pop on a hair mask, then our satin sleeping cap, and have a good nights sleep, and wake up to silky smooth moisture-rich hair.
With restrictions (hopefully) soon to be easing in Melbourne, now is the time to book an appointment with your hairdresser for a hair refresh! Get a fresh spring look and trim off those dead ends to give your hair a health boost. If you feel like treating yourself, invest in a salon treatment for an extra hair health kick!
